Default New Civic

Whoo! Picked up a new 92 civic today, has a t3 turbo kit on it.

It was for $600, but there's a rod knock. :P

Has a JDM D15 V-tec in it, which is pretty cool.

Thanks, I guess the guy said he had it tuned and dyno'ed at 301hp. I dunno if that's to the crank or wheels, but it had no bolt ons. So I can probably squeeze out some more ponys.

i think that's to the wheels. don't you have to take the engine out of the car to figure out bhp?

Unknown to me, I'm pretty excited to get working on it. Just gotta find some rod bearings and stuff. And find some money! Haha

Nice. HB's are so great as sleepers. Alot of the muscleheads think "Oh, its just a ****ty hatchback" and they get owned by it. There was this sick Hatch at the dragway that was silver and he HAD to have a H22 in it, and he was obviously running boost, and was one of the fastest tuners there.

So, good luck. I'm interested in seeing how it goes for you .

It's turbocharged, and tuned.

Anyway, started ripping it apart today and got the engine out and took apart.
Flipped it over and opened up the oil pan and it was the #3 piston bearing that died.
I don't think it's that bad, do you really need to get it reground?
