So I got a really good deal on a 92 civic. Problem is its a DX. I know that that really sucks, but I think it really has some petential. I have a little money to invest and I need a plan on what to attack first off. It only has a 106 thousand miles so I am not sure if the b16 swap is a good idea yet. I know I need to put some coilovers and a camber kit on it ASAP, but is that the fist thing I should do?

Please help!!!

well it depends on if you want the looks first or the perf. the springs will do a little of both but they wont get you any more power. exhasut and cai are the first things i would do. they are cheap effective mods.

well, it came with a a short ram intake, and 3A racing 2.5 muffler, but where I live it's legal to run a test pipe, so I was gonna put that on rather than doing a whole catback system. the only other easy upgrade I know of for the engine was a header, but I was gonna wait on that for after my engine swap

personally if there sumin you want to wait to do till you got the engine swap, you should wait for everything before you do the engine swap cuz whts the point of moding the engine if your only goin to swap it for different engine anyways. just do what you thinks best for yer car, i just think you should do what will save ya the most green in the end!

Of course its got potential, its a civic engine. If u cant mod these engines then u need a new hobby. haha

yeah, Ive never been a fan of the b16 swap, personally. I say go turbo, yeah!

do the swap...its a dx with 106k on the motor. if you really want speed a b16 is a great choice. you can turbo that little dx all you want but you will never get the same results that you can get from some dual overhead cam action.

I was talking to some people at work, and there is a guy with a b16a ebgine with like 52k on it. He only want 1200 and that is with a GS-R transmission. Like I said, i am new to this whole game, but that sounds liek a really good deal to me. If I do buy the engine, which is currently in a 94 civic hatchback, is it gonna take a lot of mods to install? What all am I gonna need for the swap
