Hi all !
I'm thinking about purchasing a used '08 -'11 SI coupe. We already have an 09 EX sedan (wife's), and I like it. I've had roach vehicles all my life, and want to have a little fun. What can I expect from a SI coupe vs an EX sedan ? Do the SI's have a lot more power ? Or is just a minor improvement in power ? I test drove a '08 SI and it went great, but didn't really "floor" me as far as power. A buddy told me you really need to "wind up" the newer VTech engines to get it to really go.. also what can I expect for true fuel economy when just easy driving around ? Any inherant negitive issues with the SI's ? Thanks !

There's right around a 60bhp/12ft*lb difference between the Si's K20Z3 and the lower trims' R18A1. It's not enough to throw you into the back seat, but keep in mind that the Si's K20 sees all 197bhp at close to 8,000rpm; you probably won't notice much difference early in the powerband due to the similar torque numbers.
As far as your other questions, I really can't answer them without first-hand experience with the newer civics. As far as I know there are no major issues with the latest generation of civics though.
