Talking New paint, wheels, lips

Well, after a VERY long weekend, the eg8 is finally painted! it was a lot of work but definitely worth it. i dont think it turned out too bad, considering this is the fourth car my friend has painted. it feels nice to have a car that is one color. i also got some crx rims that i painted on it, along with a front and rear lip. the project is coming along. heres the pics, check out the before ones and let me know what ya think. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3320046/4

and i thing there is .... too much white, like the rear window and on the grill area idk why it just dont look natural but with a drop i think that can be fixed lol i think its just the car is too high,

the mark on the bumper is a band aid lol. my friend hit it too hard with the buffer and took some paint off. ill get it fixed in a couple days. i think the rims look good, they are pretty dirty tho, these pics are from when i got it home after pulling out of the shop. the tires are what look ugly. 60 sidewall in the front and 75 in the back, yea i hate it but its better than my steelies. the tires will be replaced soon, and a 2" drop is on the way within the month.

BTW, im surprised you could see that band aid, those are pretty small pics. You must be rockin the HD or a really big screen, lol.

thanks for posting the pics man, im not computer friendly enough to figure that out. i bought the car for $425, and prolly have about $1300 in it so far. this includes lips, paint, bondo, bumper, lights, speakers, and so forth. just put new axels in it about 2 weeks ago. i bought it and kinda went ***** deep into the body work. its a lot more work and money than i thought, but im glad i took care of that first. next 2-3 months is suspension, and hopefully this winter will be a new motor.

i was thinkin of sellin it after i painted it, cuz i found an 88 vw scirocco for $800, but i might be in love with it again, but who knows. lol. the title was a salvage title at one point in time but it isnt anymore. im guessin this will lower the price a bit when i do sell it. if i am to sell it, i gotta replace the windshield and id prolly drop it first, so it looked a lil cleaner.

Looks better, just get some wheel cleaner.

And a tip for your friend, when he's painting the bumpers, always leave the openings and and certain trim parts flat black. It's gives the car a cleaner and more expensive look.

Other than that <thumbs up>

o yea, my friend chadbird was helpin me sand it, and he kept tellin me there was a problem cuz he could fit his hand between the wheel and the fender lol. he has an escort tuckin in the back. i like the car all white like that tho, i think it looks newer, especially cuz a lot of new cars have eveything color matched like that.
