Nitrogen or not?
This is new to me ,filling tires with nitrogen instead of compressed air? I've heard it's better cause nitrogen is a larger molacule and so dunt seep out like air ,but it sooner or later will be replaced with air so is it worth tha xtra cost? anybody know more than me bout this?

RE: Nitrogen or not?
I have never heard of anyone actually doing it, but to each is own. Here is an article I found.

RE: Nitrogen or not?
I always thought nitrogenizing tires was just a marketing ploy... I mean, isn't air 70% nitrogen in the first place? My Kelly Chargers that I had on my Malibu were nitrogenized for free with purchase/mounting, and I never noticed any added convienence in my tire maintenence, so my guess is you're not missing anything not having this..

I think the biggest difference is that they have more sustainable pressures while driving the car when the tires heat up and the gas expands. Not a big enough difference to hastle with for a street car.

I was looking at some new vehicles this past week, and on the additional sticker for options, they had listed $279 for nitrogen-filled tires. You've got to be kidding me!!! Anyone who agrees to pay for that option deserves getting ripped off! I turned around and left the lot immediately....never to return.
