sounds to me that your car has stock amps for the speakers make sure that you hook up the blue (remote) wire

Ah. I didn't hook up a blue wire. What is the purpose of this? I will have to try it in the morning.

It tells the amps when to turn on just like when you stick the key in the ignition it turns the radio on that way the amps are on only when the radio is on and its not allways blue %99 of the time it is but it should say sumthin like rem, remote or amp turn on if its not.

Ok just tried hooking up the blue wire and that didn't seem to help at all.

So did you check for shorts or no? Because I bet that's probably the problem.

I just connected it to the wiring harness that I bought (to blue wire) I will triple check the speaker wiring.

What color wire from your Civic does this blue wire ultimately connect to (see circuit diagram in my previous post)?

the wire probably goes to nothing
the harness he bought is one of those universal adapter harnesses made for a certain range of years of hondas, and his car doesn't have the amps that the remote wire would normally hook up to. so really it's just a dead wire hanging there in case he installed it on a car that had a factory amp.
