Angry O2 Sensor 98 Civic HX

Why is the upper O2 sensor for a 98 civic hx manual transmission so expensive (approx. 300 & up).

Is there a substitution that can be used? Anyone have suggestions?

ya cheaper aftermarket sensors from autozone. or search for local junk yard for a replacement if ya want to try and be cheap, tho used ones in the manifold can be a huge PITA to remove at times! the autozone cheap new ones probably wont last as long but alot cheaper!

they will probably last just as long, as long as it's not made from china.
