I have heard good reviews about that bob the oil guy forum.

As with all forums, people will have different thoughts, opinions, ideas, or information in general. I always thought synthetic needed to be changed more so than regular. Shows you how much I know about the topic. I lived by the rule of "there is no such thing as too may oil changes", just like rotating tires.

OP, since not all of us have to endure harsh winters in Canada like yourself or your car, I would either follow the instruction manual that came with the car, or maybe contact a local honda dealer up there. Not to push you off of this forum as we are here to try and help you (not prove who is right/wrong), I am sure there are Canadian based forums that have discussed this many times.

true everyone is has there own opinion when i comes to forums especially honda forums. if you refer to the UOA section of the BTOG website you will find basically every oil brand vehicle and environment combination imaginable backed by blackstone lab among other reputable oil analysis companies and you can't argue with science according to jesse pinkman anyway.
