This weekend I will attempt to change my own spark plugs, wires and distributor and rotor. I know you guys all have done this but it will be a first for me. My poor 220k mile civic dx needs a little tlc, and I'm going to do it myself!

No need to laugh. Props to you for doing your own work on your car. It's the smart thing to do, saves a lot of money in the long run.

 

lol dont worry, it will be my second time doing it when i do it sometime next week.

 

My son has offered to talk me through it over the phone. I think I can do it, I've been reading the manual. LOL

 

Nothing funny about it. General do-it-yourself maintenance FTW! I have done it a bunch of times, and I still move too fast while doing it and F up the firing order on the distributor.

Just do one at a time and you should have no problems.

 

its not too hard to do, just takes some time. It was hard when i did it as well, but i got through it. Just make sure to remember where the wires goes

Be sure to gap the plugs correctly!!
