Perfect time to buy a catback
So I've had the stock exhaust on my civic since my dad bought it new in 1999. Three days ago, I noticed the exhaust got noticibly louder as if it had a hole in it. Since it was no big deal, I was just gonna wait until after school today to lift the car up and see whats going on. I start the car this morning, and get about 3 miles down the road in rush hour traffic, and hear this big "bang" and the sound of scraping metal. Not to mention, my car now sounds like a tractor. In a nutshell, half of my entire exhaust system flew off while going 60 mph. Yes, it fell the **** off.
I pull over and see that a good 2-3 feet of the B-pipe containing the resonator is missing, the the pipe leading to the muffler is dragging, since there's a whole section of that middle pipe missing. To make matters worse, the part thats grinding on the road is travelling "against the grain" on the road, if you will. So when I hit a bump, It makes the most god-awful noise since the pipe is basically grabbing onto the surface irregularities.
Yes, I've parked the car and driving the motorcycle in 30 degree windy weather, lol. Just thought I'd share this story, since this is really the only trouble this car has given me in 5 years of owning it.

Yeah, lucky I didn't winterize it yet haha. I'm from Vermont so 40 degrees for riding is "warm", so this isn't too bad. Since my stock exhaust is under a lifetime warranty I ended up just going to the stealership and getting a new pipe for free, and I already installed it so everything worked out
