RE: Questions For 06 Civic Owners..
Damn! I better take my foot off the gas for a while! I only get about 23-25 in the city [8D] O-well, I didn't buy it for the fuel economy! hehehe. I did try and stay off the gas one week and I got about 28 with some highway driving but it was mostly city....still pretty good to me.
ORIGINAL: ummmmmm......
i get 28-30 mpg in the city and 35-38 on the highway for my honda civic si 2006. you get better mpg for the ex, lx and dx. i heard you get 30city/40highway for them.

Yeah I normaly would drive that way too but for the last 2 years I was driving an old beat up 1990 Ford (Cli)Taurus and coming from that slow POS I think I have a lot of built up frustration that needs to be let out. [sm=devilgrin.gif]

I'm averaging about 30 MPG in almost all city driving.
I drive like an idiot too. lol.
I blip the throttle alot while heel-and-toe driving and accelerating out of the corners. that's murder on the gas mileage...

hi,
just joined today, i bought my new 06 civic in january and im getting between 35-40 ish. the new civic is hard to beat i had been chasing it since it was first advertised. i have the the EX MODEL I.8 IVTEC (NIGHTHAWK BLACK), EXCELENT CAR. I used to have a 53 reg before this 1.4 only but i would highly recommend the new shape better.

RE: Questions For 06 Civic Owners..
I got my 06 Civic Ex sedan - Auto tranny with 12 miles on the odo.
It came with a full tank and When the low fuel light came on I got some fuel. It took 10.4 gallons to fill up. I can't remember how many miles it was at the time. I averaged between 34 and 35mpg. I drive mostly interstate, with mixed country highway driving. Next Monday evening I will have had it 3 weeks. I now have 1600 miles on it.
The Dash light go very dim if you want them to - not a distraction at all. It's the best gauge setup of any vehicle I've driven.
I love my car!
