Default Raced a Vtec Accord

i just raced a Vtec accord but dont know if i should have won. He has a 4 door so that would weigh it down.. I think it is a 2.2 or something. My car is a 1.5 with full exhaust and intake. I got up to 100 and then his Vtec kicked in. He caught up a little but not enough to beat me.. did i just get lucky or did i really deserve to beat him. I have become a better shifter. ( i might add) I dont have a tack so i dont know what rpms im running but when i race i shift out of 1st at about 31 mph and out of 2nd at 60. Give me some info!

hey, if you won you won. and the engine may have been bigger, but it was probably an auto. sometimes you will win unlikely races. like i beat a turbo gti from a rolling start on the freeway

I redline at 33 and 60 so you are extremely close for not hvaing a tach. I have a D16Y8. BTW it could have been a 3.0 v6 vtec (v6) My mom has one and it is a four door but she could smoke me. It hauls.

Speaking of winning and races yesterday i saw these two Pontiac Grand Am street racing each other. One Red and one Green. The green one start to pull away from the Red until the green rear ended a Conv. Mustang that was a traffic light. The driver of the green grand am should feel stupid cuz they were probally looking in their rear view cheering that they beat the red grand am. They should of pay more attention to the road instead of the rearview mirror cuz they got too excited or sumthing and didn't see the mustang at the traffic light and rear ended it which they pretty much embarrass themselve.

A couple days ago, I saw a Chevy Cavalier and a Saturn SC2 race from a dig. Pissed me off since they held me up. Then the Cavalier turned off and the Saturn lined up next to me at the next light. With 1/4 throttle and shifting at 3 grand, I put bus lengths on him[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

well, first off, the 98-02 accords are slow, the only ones that would give you a good run are the 5spds, the v6's are slow from a start, but if they are rolling, they will eat you up

I just thought it was funny how they were "racing" and yet holding up traffic.
