RE: Ready To Purchase A New Car - Guidance Needed
The difference between the accord and civic engines is gonna be power and torque. The civic gets 140HP and the Accord gets 166HP. The accord is also gonna have more torque since it uses a 2.2L engine. 160 torque on the accord to the civic's 128. The accord is the more powerful car but the civic is better with gas milage. The civic gets 30/40 where the accord gets 24/34. The accord has more power but gets worse gas milage but the civic is slower and gets better gas milage. The civic is also gonna be lighter and is gonna have a better aftermarket.

RE: Ready To Purchase A New Car - Guidance Needed
well I've had NOTHING but bad experiences with used cars and quite frankly I'm getting sick of it.
I've had 4 used cars and all of them have had problems..
now I know cars will have problem..
I'm the kind of person that takes care of everything he owns..My 98 civic was NOT properly taken care of whoever the owners were before me, and it's of course, having tranny problems among other various things.
I take care of my things..if I got a new car..I'd get all the maintenance required..oil changes on the spot..I'd take care of it..and hondas run FOREVER when you take care of them..my mom's friend has a honda with 310k miles on it and it's STILL running...
so that's why I'm thinking a new car would be smart...because I'll KNOW that it's not a ****ty buy

My new SI is the first new car Ive ever bought. I love it and dont regret it, I do agree though. Iwill never buy a new car again unless its a GREAT deal. The dealership is certainly not your friend. I think the last SI would be a great driver and you can get a new one cheap now.

Personally, I'd go for an '05 Accord. I know we still have a lot of them sitting on our lot and we're anxious to sell them. Most people around here are getting STEALS on the '05 Accords because we need to make room for the rest of our '06's and soon, the '07's..

could you possibly tell me how much your 05's are going for roughly? Because I'm almost positive the dealers around here have NO 05 of anything and it sucks! I would def go with an accord 05
