Mines a 98 ex and the water runs off of the trunk fine, actually really well. There are water run offs built into the trunk lid I believe. Maybe there is a crack in yours?

Check around the edge of the trunk lid, the black slits ( I dunno proper name for it). And maybe try a test and see where it could be coming in. Open the trunk slightly ajar and pour some water on top.Hope this helps.

sometimes the trunk weatherstripping is causing it, sometimes the rear windshield seal causes the excess water to drain down to the trunk on the corners so it looks like the trunk is leaking, and it could be lots of more things, just have to look for it.

O.K. I went through a BAD trunk leak last year. It took me about 8 months to find it and get rid of it. This is what I found in my car. Yours might not be leaking in the same spots, but I you might get some ideas from these pics.

This first one is where water was pouring in. I used Silicone caulk to fill it up.

This is right beside the first one, and used the same fix.

Then I found that there was some water getting in through the lights. I siliconed all around the edges and all the seams. (USE CLEAR FOR ALL OF THESE!!!) I also pulled the lights out and redid all the gaskets.

Just to be safe I ran some silicone on these seams, and around the rear windshield seam.

Then just because I am OCD, I pulled the plastic part off the trunk and siliconed every hole and crack I could find.

Good luck and feel free to PM me if you have an questions. Hope it helps.

^^^ It has been so far. I have let it sit through 10 or so rain storms and SOAKED it with the hose many many times. No so much as a drop so far.

My 95 dx trunk always leaked. I fixed it by totalling the car and buying a new one.
