My car was recently broken into (1999 Civic SE Sedan Canadian) and everything in it was taken. The theif somehow unrolled my window (oddly enough). I know my windows were rolled up the night before, so I'm wondering how he did it. Is there any products out there that I could install on my car to prevent this from happening again? I know there are ventshades, but I think those are tackey, and I know they're only held on by two sided tape. Anything else though?

If somebody wants to take your car or something for your car, they will. If there is a will there is a way. I keep a brake lock, the Wrap on the steering wheel, and a kill start alarm on my car. It never gets messed with. Clear everything out of your vehicle before you go to bed.

I always find it funny when people lock their jeys in the car and try going for the lock with the coat hanger, if you have manual crank windows then it makes getting in the car twice as easy, hook the coat hanger on the crank and pull, bam window is open, thaat is how the guy got in your car, now like Kbeers said if someone wants to get in your car, they will. as for ways to prevent people from stealing stuff, then an alarm might help, but there is little that can be done.

Where in Canada are you from??
