Getting rid of your carpet would do absolutely nothing for performance, only makes your interior look sh!tty and uncomfortable. Maybe if you got rid of it and everything else in your interior except for a driver's seat and gauge cluster, but that would be a barely noticeable gain...

In drag racing 100lbs saves 1/10 of a second....... not 50 lbs saves you 1/8......

You drive a civic, not a drag car.... I'll enjoy my carpet thanks.
