shopping..
hi all, im new to the site and i have some questions on a 96 civic coup
1st of all, i dont own the car right now but once my dad gets his income tax check i think he is buying me one, will be my 1st car i own (im 17 and long over due)
1st things 1st. what is the tech name of the stock engine, and is it a v-tec... i dont kno much about hondas and all, so if someone could give a brief overview of what v-tec rly is.
another thing would be some performance online stores u guys like. ive found TODA racing, and i only see k series and b series on there. i do have some general understandings of cars.. maybe a little more then general but ya.
also, the car i might get is ganna cost 1,500 - 2,000 from a guy at work. lowerd and has some nice rims and a kicking stereo. ive never rly SEEN it, but seen it around. so i dident get a good look at it for anything, but its clean i kno that.
as far as power goes, i dont want to turbo.. id like to keep it N/A for now with some spunk.

RE: shopping..
I buy most of my parts off Ebay.
Another site I've bought from is http://www.autopartswarehouse.com
They carry alot of stuff and their ship time isn't half bad.

RE: shopping..
always be carefull on ebay, i ordered some tein s-tech for my civic, and the guy didnt send me any and got suspended from ebay. so i never got any thing and had to file a complaint or whatever, so i got my money back, not all of it but most of it. but it was good that he gave me my money back. but any ways like AgentofDarkness said stick to brand name parts for engine and mechanical.

RE: shopping..
before u start trying to mod ur engine or w/e, do some gooood research since it seems like u dont know all that much about civics. this is a great forum to learn about new things. dont be afraid to ask, we dont bite...

RE: shopping..
i hate to turn you to the darkside but www.honda-tech.com has some in depth information when it comes to tuning, but be prepared to deal with ******** when it comes to replies.
