Should I buy?

Should I buy?
I found a 99 Honda Civic EX(black) on autotrader today. It has 76,000 miles and is selling for $3800. It is from a private seller and has all the options except leather. I used to own a 2000 Dodge Neon but recently wrecked it and am looking for a new car. Would this be a good buy? What are some common problems of 99 civics? I plan on starting to modify it immediatly after purchase. (17" ASA AR2 wheels and 10% percent tint will probably be the first things I do.)

I don't know what they go for where you're from but where I livethat is a very low price for a 99 ex with 76,000 miles on it. Have you seen the car? Ask if it has a salvaged title.

dito.... run a carfax report and ask if it is salvaged or not.... and IF SO if he knows WHY it was salvaged....
sometimes it could be a theft recovery and not be to bad... but some can have some bad wrecks... but either way REALLY REALLY give the car a hard look all over!!!!!!!! look for any paint overspray, or any bent metal or eneven trim and take it into consideration.... i love my 99ex but it has been in a few wrecks and repaired afew times and a few things dont quite match that might not be noticable to most people BUT i know they are there...

RE: Should I buy?
I just bought my 96 EX for $2900 w/122K miles....At first I thought that I might have paid a little too much, but I got it from the original owner that got it serviced At Honda religiously and kept every reciept from day one....not to mention the car runs 100%, has no leaks, and even a new exhaust right before the previous owner sold it to me!
What Im trying to say is, it all depends on the car's condition.....A 99 EX w/76K miles for $3800 is low, especially when gas prices are crazy thus bringing up the value of our economy 4 cylinder Civics to alltime highs! My father is a used car dealer and I occasionally go to the auctions with him and I can tell you that a 4 cylinder ANYTHING is going for crazy money!!
So....in truth, the 99 EX you found on Autotrader sounds to good to be true.
