I've been REALLY thinkin about gettin a 2010 civic si. I hear that its hard to upgrade since most of the job is done for you. Is this true? If not the civic si .. i'll prolly get an accord coupe.

If the si is worth upgrading where should i start?

What kind of upgrading are you wanting to do?

As any car can be upgraded, be aware that the newer cars are a bit more difficult to upgrade.

I wanna raise low end power in the si. I wanna do suspension mods and prorbably intake/ exhaust (hoping to stay away from the fart can). I wanna stay naturally aspirating. I'm really not a pro at this kinda thing. I really wanna become a gearhead and have a feeling that honda is the place to start. Ive heard you can do so much with a honda.

I'm not sure a brand new, warranty'd car is the proper place to start for someone looking to tear into modifications.

If you are just starting to get into this kind of thing, i would highly recommend you not start with a brand new civic or accord. Start with a 90's Civic/Accord and get a feel for it. At least if you mess up an older civic its not a HUGE loss like it would be with a new car. Good luck, and welcome to the world of Honda.

does it matter if it's a two seater?

the price of a 2010 si or any new car, you can get yourself a real nice s2000 or older civic and and still have a ton extra money for whatever you want to do with it.

^^ i dont know about the s2k but if you have the money for a brand new car, buy an older hatch and go nutz your options are almost endless, and the cars are still reliable.

I just bought my wife a new 2010 Civic LX. I'm thinking of buying a Si for myself. I like shifting (she needs automatic).
I test drove a new Si and it really doesn't need any upgrades unless you plan on racing it.
Sweet car.
