SI worth it?

RE: SI worth it?
ok for in that year range, you are looking at around 10 grand for an si. Just pick up an ex for 5000 max and then strap the supercharger onto it and you'll already have more high end power and more low end torque for 3k less. Just my opinion. I know stock the si is better, but you also have to know that even if you do find an si for sale, its probably been thrashed pretty hard.

YOu know , You should find your self an Sir 6th gen,. and forget all the tunning , all u need is a set of rims , and a stereo .
it has everyting that your wifes TL has . maybe no leather seats / but thats about it .
Go for the SIR .

if your not going to mod the car at all, engine wise then go with the ex. its fine for a communter vehicle. i did an engine swap so now i have the si engine in my car and i love it. i would recommend the SI, but if you are not worrying about power much and want it now, go with the ex.

I have a 99 Si and its great, but if you just want it for a DD I would go with an EX then toss on a JRSC it would cost about the same. Could possibly be more powerful, get better mpg and have a torquier low end. I love my 99 SI when I drive it hard but when I'm just cruisin its not that big of a difference between my cousins 98 EX that I have driven before.
