Default so i got it

if anyone remembers my previous thread i bought my friends ek,i dont know much about ek's and im still doing researchi know it has the d16y7 but as far as that goes... perfomance, what are they good for? low end, mid range, high end etc. it already has an aem sri on it and some tein lowering springs, and a cd deck. its a dx so it has no power steering (which is fine) the ac works but it needs some freon. its got a sh*tload of dents but its okay i wanna keep it low key. i heard that the apex'i world sport exhaust is pretty decent. but besides i/h/e what else can i do to it? im thinkin about puttin some jdm parts on it but i want to know its true potential. any answers would be greatly appreciated

thanks

engine swap would be a good idea. the y7 isn't that great for power. you could do a mini-me swap, which is taking the y8 (VTEC) head and putting it on your y7 block. You'll gain ~25hp and have VTEC.
if the compression is fine, then it should handle up to ~10lbs of boost

for best results from the mini-me, try to get the Y8 intake manifold too. it has larger runners and is better overall.

yea you'll need a d16y8's ECU. ECU code is P2P.
