Speed limitator
Hey there! I have a 04 Civic EX, and is very frustrating (at least for me) the fact that I can't go faster than 110 mph. However, I don't know very much about this stuff, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be the best thing to do to get rid of that limitator.
Thanx!

RE: Speed limitator
The fact that you guys are going faster then 100 in economy cars is slightly terrifying, except for the ones with the upgraded suspension and brakes. And to the original poster, if you have to ask this question then you don't need to be driving that fast [:@]
To quote another car forum:
"There is no reason for any car to exceed 100mph on the street and that is pushing it. "But my governor is limiting me on the track" I hear quite often this statement, well frankly our cars wont get to 108mph in a 1/4 of a mile without an extreme amount of motor work, and after that much work in your car you will know how to remove the governor. The governor is the manufacturers gift to motorist everywhere to protect us from idiots, please dont take our gift."

RE: Speed limitator
^ 100% agree. I have broken that, but only once in a very short burst on a very long stretch of road with no chance of people pulling out in front of me. And that was pushing it. I was thanking god I didnt have a blowout or hit a critter or something. If you seriously have to ask how to remove a governor or even what it is, you dont need to be doing it. And also im bothered why you want to go faster than 110?
