Default Speedo

So I was driving down the road today and this new civic passes me, the ones with the huge digital gauge. I managed to see what speed he was going at when he PASSED me. he was going 47, I was going about 52 according to my speedo.

WTF!?!?

Is mine THAT far off? everything on my car is bone stock (tire size, wheels, tranny)

Well, at the point of passing he would still be going faster than you. If you were going along side by side for a while then I would be concerned, but if he passed you.. then he was going faster than you.

Did he have something other than original OEM tires and rims? Do you have something other than OEM tires and rims? I have a GPS in my Civic, and the speedometer is "spot on."

Ah sorry reconstyle, my mistake! Not a clue why this happened. Take your car to a garage to get dynoed?
