Spring Break Project Complete

Spring Break Project Complete
Hi Guys,
I completed my spring break project. I did a rear drum to disk conversion, and installed my sound system. The disk conversion took 6 hours, and the sound system took 4 DAYS... [:'(] There were a lot of interruptions however...
Basically I removed the Honda head units and converted everything to accept my iPod. I plan on installing an EQ into the dash where the CD/Tape deck were.
Here are the specs on what I installed:
Sound:
Amps:
Kicker KX400.1 Mono Amp 400 RMS Watt (Powers 10" Subs)
MTX Audio TC3002 Dual Channel 300 Watt (Powers 6" and 6x9")
1 Farad Capacitor
2 x STREETWIRES 4ga to 8ga Distribution Block 45020
2 x MB Quart Frequency Separators for the front tweeters
Speakers:
2 x 6.5" MB Quart Component Speakers DSD216
2 x 6x9" MTX XT693 Triaxial 3-way Passive 4 Ohm 42 Watt
2 x 10" MTX Thunderer 5500 Single 4 Ohm Voice Coil 300 Watt RMS Subs
Brakes:
2 x 1998 Integra Rear Trailing Arms, Calipers, Rotors
Stainless Steal Braided Brake Lines Front/Back
New set of bushings for each arm
4 Wheel Alignment
Valve Adjustment
Synth. Oil + Filter Change
New gasket set for valve cover
And a lot of beer...

RE: Spring Break Project Complete
I didn't take a nice picture of the rear disks, it was more of an after thought. I did note that at 100+ mph disk brakes feel wonderful compared to my old drums.
Here are the pics of the brakes and the subs:

Nice work, I bet your system sounds 100X better lol. It always takes longer then you think. Starting with everything still in packages/bags, I told my buddy I could do a full system install in about 5 hours or so, it took almost the hole day lol. I was doing everything myself though on a car I never worked on before.

I can do complete systems in just a couple of Hrs. I wouldn't of gone with 10" , they just don't compare with 12". I always get a nice system the 1st time because I like to do it right. But I like mean bass. I always go with Kicker Solo Baric L7 12" those sucker can handle anything
But if those (10' ) subs fit your needs then is all good.

My 10's are overkill if I turn them all the way up, and 10's produce nice tight bass. I'm not into hiphop or rap. There was a lot of custom work done to make the speakers fit and look stock. We built a custom rack for the amps, and we built a custom box designed specifically for those drivers using a program that designs acoustically perfect boxes.
Running wires, installing potentiometers, and installing speakers took 5 hours. We spent considerable time waiting for the polyurethane to dry, and one day building the
mounts and the sub box.
In the end though the box sounds wonderful. I do need an EQ and I'm not quite sure what to get. Any suggestions?

I have a pic of the rack for the amps I can attach. I removed the cd/tape deck and cut a piece of wood to fit in their place. I am planning on installing an EQ into that spot, but for right now it holds the on off switch for the amps.
You can see in the previous pics the gain control ***** for mids and lows next to the e-brake as well as the iPod wire. If you look at the other pictures of the front door you can see the template we had to cut to mount the MB Quarts fit into the stock housing (After a lot of grinding). I can attach another picture of the box outside of the car.

I don't like to get a separate EQ because people tend to peak trough your windows and once they see it, they know you have a system and they will try to ****** the amps, subs or what they can. SO that's the reason I look into a nice Pioneer stereo with a Excellent Built in EQ
