Stick or Auto?

RE: Stick or Auto?
They sell very few Civic sticks, yet most of us here (including me) drive sticks. Very interesting. I'm 64 years old and I learned on a three-on-the-column stick '54 Chevy. Almost all my cars have been sticks. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Heh, in a sea of sticks the autos try to survive.I drive an auto as well, even tho I could drive a manual if I wanted. Learned both, prefer auto.. Don't really care about performance or anything myself, sadly. Autos let me concentrate on more important things, like music and talking to people, haha. And no, I haven't been in a major accident in ages, and even the last one I can remember I wasn't the driver. My second car was a manual and I had learned years before I got that one, people say you get used to it and it becomes second nature, but I just couldn't ever get to that point. It always still felt annoying to me. If I ever got a car specifically for performance I'd go manual in a heartbeat, but for my daily I'll stick to an auto.

Auto, but I'm throwing in a manual this summer. Until then, I be all up in that automaticmofo shiftin gears, y0! ...and getting 12 mpg because of itlol
So I'm not the only one with ADD, eh? I'm still getting a manual... personally, I think I'll be able to pay more attention with a stick, since I'll actually be doing something while driving.

93 LX AUTO, but it's all busted up, and I should just get another car now...
I know how to drive manual, have done so on several cars, 95 DX Civic, 91 Explorer 4x4 (a real old bomber if there was one),and a brief test drive with a 93 SAAB 900.
At Largo Honda used cars, there are TWO cars that are not auto, and neither of them have sold in MONTHS: 2005 Riced Si with Carbon hood & butterfly Doors, and a 2007 Nissan Versa with a 6-speed gearbox! <-- I could have fun with that...
I guess no one in the Keys wants to exhert any effort while driving. It's not like there is stop and go traffic anywhere here...
