Default sunroof being goofy

So my sunroof will sometimes open roughly(it skips and catches...not real smooth) and sometimes i hear the motor working but nothing happening.

now when i just hear the motor running i barely touch...and i mean ever so slightly touch the sunroof and it opens.

the sunroof closes fine but the open is like i said...goofy

explanations please?

Thanks

sunroof operating systems that put the glass outside of the roof when opened(92-95) as opposed to the glass actually going into the roof (96+), tend to be more problem prone.

I agree with TheJGB3's comment. You might also check whether the motor clutch is out of adjustment.
