So heres the run down...my 93 stockDel Sol was slow, uncomfortable, and it leaked on me. I kept it for a year, sold it,and got a stock 984 doorLX.

Now that I've had the LX for 6 months and am only $400 away from paying it off (after approx. $400 in suprise repairs), I'm thinking it's gonna have to

go.It's alsoannoyingly slow, and Idon't have the patience/time/ability to do an engine swap/turbo on it, so I think I want to move up toeither

a 2.2/2.3 CL (preferably) or a 97-up Prelude...


Now come the questionsfor you, the informed Honda community:

1. Is this a bonehead move? Do these also have lots of road noise/bumpy ride/A SLOW *** ENGINE? If I sell this Civic, it will be the second time I've

gotten rid of a low mileage 5 speed Honda in great shape, and I don't want to do this only to be unhappy again for the same reasons.

2. Are any models/model years more desireable than others? (Like how a 99-00Civicis more refined than a 96-98)

3. Is there anything to look out for/design flaws/recalls I should know about these two models?

4. Where's a good place to look for info/cars for sale (like a forum or different site other than the ususal craigslist/autotrader/vehix)?

a 99/00 SI would be quicker, or any other fo the newer SI's would do it too

 

What's your budget? The last gen Preludes are pretty cool, but I don't know details about them.

 

I should be able to get the $5200 right back out of my Civic, if not a little more, Plus whatever I can get for the brand new lip kit, SI tails, and black halo projectors/other stuff.... about 6K. I see some CL's/Preludes around there and I'd like to get one but like I said in my earlier post, I'm uninformed and am trying to find some forums or sites where I can learn about those cars, and any tips about them I can come across as well. Are the 2001-up SI's 2.2L also? Hmm....
