Default TOO MODERNIZED?

What are your opinions on the newer age cars especially civics. To me they look real nice but then again theyre starting to become too much computer and not enough human. they also seem much bigger and heavier. I really like the new SI but they just dont seem as quick or fast as when they came out in the '90s. I guess i just like the look of the older or should i say old school style cars like the '90 series civics or the 240's or the corolla ae86 and cars like that..............what do u guys think about it?

I'm with you on this one... I definitely like the looks of cars from the early- to mid-90's. Also, cars are getting bigger. For the record, the new civic is a full 35 inches (88.9 cm)longer than the original Honda Civic, and is 1,093lbs (496.81 kg)heavier.

I like the 90's look as well. I'm sure the new civic drives amazing, esp compared to my 97. I just think the look has no character...just a blob[:'(]. My absolute fave car for looks is the Ferarri F-40

They are becoming to computerized, i agree. There's no more hands on, getting greasy and whipping out the power tools with out somehow disabling somthing or setting somthing off that sprays fire in your face for toucing it or somthing. Anyways, yeah, thats it

01 and newer Civics just dont look like Civics to me, IMO 5th and 6th gens are what Civics look like to me, although i saw an 07 SI the otehr day and damn was it slick i wouldnt mine driving it, but modifying it seems like waaaay too much of a hassle, i can take apart my dash and whatnotof my 99 no problem but i wouldnt even know where to start with the newer gens.

Newer gens = slick out of the box
5th/6th gens = easily moddable so you can make them slick

A lot of the weight gain is for safety reasons. The air bags and crush zones have a definate weight penalty. Thesafety cage that you sit into in the gen8 models must also weigh more. I would love a lighter car also, but.............
