mazdas are great cars, i love how they handle. if i were u i'd wait a couple more thousand miles till i start puting aftermarket parts on. just let the car do its thing and break in then do w/e. i know good mazdas parts are sometimes hard to come buy and can be really pricey but there are some compaines like Racing Beat that make excellent products. 2 of my friends have mazdas(miata and protege5) and both have Racing Beat exhausts and they sound AMAZING and got good gains. real nice low deep tone without being to loud.

From what I can tell just by eyeballing it, the 3 seems to have several inches of ground clearance over the Mini so I don't expect that it'll GULP water.
I'm excited to mod this car since it's already got plentiful pep for a 4cyl. The only problem is that there's not much available for this model yet. There are a few intakes here and there but until the 3Speed comes out, there's not much in the way of exhaust systems or turbo kits. Hell, I can't even find a Chilton for this car!
