There is a dealer ship around here i michigan, that has a used 2003 civic ex. in silver. with 32,000 miles on it. It has euro taillights and medal peddals. I was wondering if you thought it would be worth it to try and trade for this car. I currently have a 2003 civic ex rally red. and it's an auto. It has everything the other car has, plus alloy wheels. and brand new tires pirelli tires. Is the manual a lot faster and more fun to drive? Do you think it's to big of s risk to lose the car i have thats in great condition and i know where it's been. This car cleary was owned by someone who raced it around.

A. I don't like rally red. I want a different color.
B. I'm young and i want to drive a stick for a while.

Any thoughts?

Yeah there just touring tires. 90,000 mile tread warranty and free replacment from discount tire. they work awsome in the snow and slush i have here right now.

I don't think the dealer will trade streight up. But i suppose it's worth a shot.

Autos are worth more when trading to a dealer.......more potential buyers...........if you can find a car with the same miles and its a 5 speed.....they should trade it no problem, and you may even get a few bucks back.

The problem is the car was my grandmother lease. SHe leased the car and when it came time to turn it in, she noticed the blue book was over 13 for it. and the dealer wanted 10 out the door. So she decided it was a good investment to get it. Since my Old 91 Cavalier was falling apart. She gave me the car so i know it's been treated right. I'm going to have to check out the dealer, and see what the deal is before i go ahead and seek my grandmothers opinion. She already said i could sell the car and get what i wanted if i ended up not liking this one. I call them tomorrow, and see what the deal is.

 

I didn't do it. First of all i went to look at it. It has a cheap can muffler With the stock pipe going to the cat. It had full tinted windows and the dealer had to remove the cheap plastic tint. the car looks like a rich 16 year old just tore into it. And i won't be surprised if the clutch goes in under a year. not to mention they wouldn't trade me streight up. cause my trade in for my car is only 12k and they wanted 13.5 for this car. the car just looked like it was abused.

 

usually if its modded rice, it was beat the **** out of...

 

i would check out the car before you buy it..they should have a full history of the car if it was leased by them and brought back, but sounds good...go for it, manual will be fun (except in traffic[:'(] )
