instead of doing a Y8, i would do an LS motor. it will be fast enough to have a lot of fun with, and you can have a blast in auto-x with it. its a lot torquier than the single cam engines, and isnt too expensive. you should be able to find one installed for roughly 2000. not bad considering i spent more than that on just the basic parts for my B16.
