Default Is it true?

That a cold air intake is pointless if you have a turbo? and do you need a certain exhaust also if you have a turbo?

lol.. you wouldn't really have a CAI if you were turbo'd... it would all be replaced with intercooler piping and an intercooler.

For exhaust, you would need a downpipe from the exhaust side of the turbo, which then goes to the remaining portion of the exhaust system.

You need to do some research. We have some great stickies in the Forced Induction section.

Yeah, with a turbo system, you normally either stick the filter directly onto the turbo or you route the intake wherever you deem convenient.

As far as exhaust, the exhaust doesn't change from the catalytic converter back. Like cvcrcr99 (dude, I never realized what a PITA it is to type your screenname lol) said, the exhaust before the catalytic converter, however, will change (the exhaust manifold is swapped out for a turbo manifold and downpipe). Really, with exhaust on a turbo car, you just want a larger diameter pipe size (2.5"+, depending on turbo size, boost, engine, etc.)

lol... I thought it would be easy to be honest...just keep your pointer finger on the "c" and your middle finger hitting "v" and "r"....haha

+1 on the 2.5''+ exhaust piping. You would want bigger piping if running more boost.

Pipings could even reach up to 3", it really depends on how much you're boosting.
