well kinda like it sounds.... ya know now i have the stock LARGE arms that come up from the inside of the trunk.. which kinda destroy my stereo instal looks.......


and well ive seen a few civics with these trunk hinges and gas shocks that bolted to the outside of the trunk area and then bolted to the trunk lid... which are very short arms and dont get in the way of ANYTHING inside the trunk.... my question is WHAT do i need to do to make my trunk like those? ive asked the few people ive seen with them and they either bought it that way or dont respond........


any help is extremely apriciated!!!!!!

ya know i can do some metal work for a larger mounting area for the hinges no problem thier.... i just have it the stockers come down inside my truck and take up space!

 

Those look very easy to install. I dunno if they sell a kit but it would appear very easy to fab 1 up. Just go buy some gas shocks at a local truck accessories place. Idbuy 100lb shocks. Then id go junk yardin around for some brackets.Id look on truck toppers.

i'm sure that any kind of hood dampers would work. you would just have to find a way to mount them and them not get in the way. I know tein makes some pretty good ones.

 

na na na.... trunk not hood.......
tha gas shocks aint no thang thier..........but the hinges is what matters!


but im looken at some bmw hinges on ebay now BUT the guy is being stupid and wont get pictures of the hinges with them off the car....... so i m not sure if ill be able to modify them to work on my civic or not....
