why dont you try to make a spare key. it worked for me. before i had a key for trunk and a key for the ignition. when i went and made spare keys for each key it came back that one key can open everything. don't know why though

The valet key is too thick to fit into the keyhole for the trunk. The notches on the key are the same though so if you make a copy of the valet key onto a normal thin blank, it will open the trunk too.

I went to honda and had a master key made up but it did not work and found out all the keys i have are master keys .
I took the drunk lock set out of the trunk and soaked it in wd40 guess what ---------------------------------------now it works---------i am going to keep soaking it over night and then put some sort of rust protector on it.
