tune up question

RE: tune up question
Tune up isn't like it uses to be. Now that cars can adjust themselves unlike the carbureted cars from the past.
I'm not totally sure what it means when they give it a tune up. But I suppose they just check out the basics. Check the plugs, the air filter, maybe run the car on a Diagnostics program. Replace any bad sensors. Lube up some things, check the radiator, Trans, brakes... I suppose it depends on where you take it.

RE: tune up question
tune ups are real simple to do and i really recomend trying it urself. its fairly cheap to get all the stuff u need(spark plugs, rotor, cap, wires, air filter, fuel filter etc) it'll save u money and u can get to know the stuff under the hood a bit better...

for parts that are usually replaced are all filters, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor (if equiped), oil, check belts and hoses for wear and cracking, etc
