so my car hasnt really been overheating or anything like and i wanted to check my fluid and this is what i found...it kinda feel like jelly but i have no idea what it is or where its coming from and i just replaced my head gasket about a month ago and the needle doesnt ever show it getting hot....anyone have any ideas???

 

looks like oil/water mix to me
pull out yor dipstick & see if itlooks the same

 

no the dipstick is fine....im not having any heating issues so i dont think im getting a mix...even if it was oil and water mix i dont think they would be like jelly like it feels now....its REALLY thick and like i said the best way i can say is that its thick and kinda feels like jello....maybe a bit softer though.

 

does the radiator still have fluid in it too? what about the overflow bottle?

 

both have the correct amount they should have...overflow might be a bit over the line but that and the rad are at normal levels thats why i have no idea where this crap is coming from....this isnt the first time either but this is the first time its been this much crap on the cap.

 

have you ever flushed the coolant?

 

yeah i did that before we replaced the headgasket....i bought that dumb kit and everything at autozone that you use....another weird thing is that something is starting to make my rad cap seal start to expand....last time that happened my motor started getting hot got it made the seal come off somehow....everything seems fine like i said with the temp sensor and everything so thats why kinda got me wondering.

 

Did you ever use stop leak? That stuff can do some nasty stuff to your cooling system.

no i never used stop leak cause i never had a reason to....i just have no idea where this stuff is coming or what it is....
