oil will do that to rubber

 

but if i was indeed getting some oil in there wouldnt that mean i have a leak and wouldnt i be getting overheating problems as well???

 

Did you replace the cap after you installed the head gasket?

 

yeah i did cause the seal came off on the other one.....if my car was overheating i could maybe see this having something to do with it but its not really....sometimes it doesnt do this and sometimes it does...its not a everyday thing.

 

I think it's something called Additive drop-out, sometimes known as gellation or green goo because it forms a greenish or gray jelly, itresults from using too much supplemental coolant additive, or topping a radiator off with concentrated antifreeze. When coolant gets overloaded with chemicals oradditives such as silicateit acts like sugarsettling to the bottom of a glass of iced tea. Use only low-silicate antifreeze.

did you have an issue with oil getting to the coolant when the head gasket blew the firt time? maybe you got some oil in therethat didnt flush out the first time

 

well i kinda had this crap before i replaced the headgasket i think but it wasnt as much.....shouldnt it be kinda foamy though and not like a jelly kind of crap????

ok well if that is the case then i still dont understand why im not having heating issues....it was either maybe left in there somehow after i flushed it or its coming from somewhere.....but ill drive around for over an hour straight and my car wont get hot at all.

 

Your right maybe it's just left behind from the flush, clean the cap off and see what happens.
