yea but doesn't a gsr have 180 hp and 156 tq something around that? I would imagine with it being fully rebuilt would have quite an increase in torgue. I thought for a streetable D-series engine you could only get around 200whp for it to be reliable and safe. And even that amount would be quite a bit of boost (correct me if I'm wrong). Wouldn't the gsr being fully rebuilt with bolt ons exceed that?

180chp not whp. I would still say it is making more power than the turbo d but not by much. If a all motor engine and turbo engine, both with same whp levels and driver skill the n/a would win. N/A is expensive but rewarding.

I've heard of people running close to 250whp on stock D-series internals. Believe it.
@9psi I've also heard of people pushing 230whp.

thats not the point here, the point is the boosted D is cheaper than the n/a b16, and makes the same, if not more power.

180chp not whp.
thank you. yes, a gsr motor is making 180 CRANK horsepower from the factory. what the motor is actually making to the ground and after 10 years of wear is much less, so after rebuilding with fresh internals it is making 170hp to the ground, just 2.3whp more than i am making on only 6 psi
