okay show me where you can get a genuine honda vss for 25 bucks. I will buy one today.

I am not cheap I just want something that will work and I won't be bothered with in 2 years when it fails.

the vss is covered under the extended 14 years/150,000 miles warranty if indeed that is the problem.
so why pay and do it myself when I can go to the dealer and get a genuine NEW honda part without paying a cent. not a hard decision in my book.

thanks for the feedback though it has been enlightening and interesting. will update this thread whenever I solve my problem.
