Vtec mode
ok
so i have a 2010 honda civic si
and i have been considering flashing my vehical inwhich you all know that would change the vtec kickin
from 5800 to around 2200-3800 . so my question is , is it bad or a strain on my motor to always be in vtec mode
sence it will be kicking in sooner and more often ?

Go ahead and turn it into a pissing match. I previously had a JRSC D16 with meth injection, which I tuned myself on Hondata S300. Also, I did give you advice, lowering your VTEC crossover will not necessarily mean more power. Have you research the topic at all?
Have you read my thread? There is/was much more than just a H22 swap. Also, "buy a style"? WTF does that mean?
Also, I have a 5 year child, so shame on me for not blowing every dime I have on the car. Jeez, being a responsible single father at 25 imgaine that. Thanks douche.
If you don't like what I have to say, even when I am providing your with information, then ignore it. Were we supposed to know that you talked to a tuner? What they say about this change?

Why on earth would you want to be in VTEC at such low rpms? I could see maybe around 4500 but 2200-3800....you'd be in VTEC all the time?
And on a side note why all the hostility towards cvc? It didn't sound to me like he was coming off like an arrogant *****. He's actually given me some pretty useful information.

OP, you mentioned that you are a mopar head turned Honda. How long have you been playing with Hondas? Me, 10+ years.
I had my vtec kick in at 3k when the throttle was in at least 50% when I had the JRSC installed. However, the results showing power increases were proven on a dyno.
