Default Well, just sold my civic

I had a 1995 civic lx 4 door that I just sold. I bought it thinking it was a good deal. It was half apart. Someone else's project. Anyways, I drove it for about 2 months and stuff keep going wrong. I just got to the point where I got tired of dumping money into it and it never being right. But, since I have owned it I have done allot of research and have another civic lined up. It is a 1995 EX Coupe, it is allready the color I want, body is straight, Interior I want. Has like 76,000 miles on it and it has the motor I want, the d16z6. So, I am going to find out more tomorrow. The only thing that concerns me is when I pulled the oil dipstick out it was black with very little oil on it. And, when I started it and ran it, the oil light was flickering on and off.

Sounds like it burns oil, and is in need of a change. I'd run a compression test on it before buying if I were you

ya sounds like a good deal, but its not if you have to replace the motor in a couple weeks. do what forty said and run a compression test before you even buy it.
