yeah i see what i call ghetto rice focus's but i was just getting at ford has finaly stepped up and made a good car i drove one the other day and i liked it

 

^Finally steped up??? Ford's racing devision is arguably the best one in the domestic market. I don't see why everyone bad mouths ford's... I had an escort as my first car, wasn't fast, but that sucker would NOT die, had it 3 years and it only cost me $1000. I'd definately buy a focus, my step mom hasa ZX3and it handles even more like a go-kart than a civic coupe does (Not sure abouta civichatch because I've never driven one) and they are definately peppy little cars. Anyway... all I'm trying to say is don't generalise by saying **** like "Ford's are s***, or Euro's are expensive"or bash on any perticular car unless you know wtf you're talking about (ie: Have driven the car or done some research, not just looking at them and saying, "that's a gay car"), pretty much every car company has at least one car that has some potential, and ford has many. Sorry to preach, but as a car enthusiast, it pisses me off when people shoot off their mouths without anything to back it...

I've driven the Ford Focus and it is a nice daily car. In SVT trim it can be very nice. I tend to like Fords as domestic cars, but everyone I have had has died an early death and the dealer service has ranged from crap to outrageous.

I bought the Honda because it is uber-reliable. I bought the Civic Si because it goes.

Back on topic...

I've had my Si about two weeks and it seems to attract people who want to race. It doesn't help that it's red. Mostly it is older, tuned Civics, but a Mazda Speed 6 wanted to race on the highway. He would blow my doors off.

I also seem to get an inordinate number of people riding my bumper on the highway and then pulling up next to me to check the car out.

 

thats what i was saying i'm not bashing them hell i own a 1998 escort wagon and the other day i drove a 2008 focus coupe and a 2007 focus zx3 i was really impressed by them

 

i looked into getting an svt before i was saved by honda and overall they are to much for the little perfromance you get. they come stock with a turbo or super but for the extra money you'd be paying you could turbo your civic and be faster, they are bought by people who want cheap speed, very little speed compared to other cars but speed none the less.

 

The collaboration has produced a naturally aspirated engine that produces 170 hp at 7,000 rpm and 145 lb.-ft. of torque at 5,500 rpm.

I was looking into getting a zx3 or zx5 before my buddy said he would sell me the civic. I think they are really nice cars, with decent power for sure. Only thing that kept me out of one was that I could buy the civic right then and wouldnt have been able to get the focus until after I got this years tax return. I dont think they are too pricey either (at least not used)...prices for used ones around here were same ballpark as the civics (maybe even a little better)...and the focus had less miles on it...Right around ~$4k for an 02-03 with <70k miles.

 

hey peg_leg do they coem stock with the super or turbo, my guess would be turbo but idk. well i didnt mean they aren't good cars im just sayinthat iveseena turbo'd d16 take them is all.
