Whats your fav year civic?

RE: Whats your fav year civic?
For me it's the 1990/91 Civic. The car just looks so RIGHT!
Now that my own 90 Civic is done for I'm even thinking of finding another one as a project car.

For SI's I like the 90 - 94 hatchback, the 99 - 00 Si coupe, and the current 4 dr Si (coupe is very ugly). The current Civic is awesome for the SI and EX versions, style wise. The 2001 - 2005 Si was an ugly tragedy. For the HX, I'd prefer the 2001 - 2005 version because it's 5 star crashed rated, has cruise control, and has the highest mpg for a non hybrid Civic. But I have to live with my 99 HX that has no cruise control [major bummer].

The 1999 is very stylish, but muy favorite civic is the 2005 coupé si. Cool looks and excelent interior too.

How can you like the 90 to 94 Hatch, yet dis the EPhatch?! While I expressed my appreciation of the 90/91 hatch in this thread I also think the 2002-2005 EP3 is one of the loveliest wagon/hatchbacks ever produced, stylistically forward yet subtle in its lines. Yes for sure it had perfomance compromises...

The EP3 just looks totally ugly front, side, and rear views. And the manual stick in the dashboard totally sucks! I don't think Honda sold many of these because I don't see many on the road. And sometimes, Honda styling sucks... like the current CRV. Some GM cars actually look lots better than a Honda, now if only GM had reliability and fuel economy...

Honda is a bit drab in its latest styling ideas compared with what is even coming from Ford. The 2009 FIT is too snubnosed for instance, but the Star Trek cabin in the Civic line is very nice. Only Toyota is more boring among Japanese and Korean players -- Matrix excepted, that and its cousin the Pontiac Vibe are nice cars too. The Toyota Yaris and Nissan Versa are butt-ugly, and THOSE two models have truly-exaggerated takeoffs of the styling cues you don't like in the EPhatch.
