Disconnect the battery when you ship the car. If the alarm is one of the elaborate ones with a backup battery, disconnect it too. You do NOT want the alarm sounding while you're not around. All it will do is make people angry.

 

no need to unhook the battery... trust me the mover guy will have a problem with it not runing! how else will it get on and off the rig

most factory alarms that have backup batteries have a tow button on them somewhere. i know my moms crossfire has one of the tow features. funny thing was my dad forgot about that tow button on the dash and people flagged him down when towing the car back from florida so he unhooked the battery but the backup alarm still kept triggering the alarm since he didnt hit that tow button.LMFAO
