wheels and suspension....whats everyone got???
hi peeps, sorry for all the posting but im in the process of buying a 1600 VTI civic. at the moment i have a 1400 16v sohc 1996 civic(bug eyed) its got 17inch wheels and coilovers. my problem is its very bumpy and i want to avoid making the same mistake on my new one.
im getting a 93 civic(with the split boot/tailgate) and i want to know whats the best suspension and wheel combo for a comfy ride.
15inch wheels with 40mm lowering springs or something?
any help would be great.

here check this out..and another guy is getting them installed soon too..
a set of tein s-tech will run you about $160 and its like a 1.8 drop but they work with your stock shocks and you dont need a camber kit..here are 2 links from people that have already installed them on here, myself and mynmisoli ... < i have this typed out already because so many people ask the quesion

Rota Slipstream wheels
Tein S-Techs
And maybe even a Skunk2 camber kit if you really feel like splurging.
Thats going to be my setup as soon as I get a new Civic.
And, dont get coilovers. They really mess up the ride. Theyll make it it terribly bumpy.
Mill$, I love how youve just got that all written up for everytime this comes up.

Hey Man, I had a 92 VTi Hatch. Great ride. I had AVO coilovers on mine. Good bit of kit. They were Height and dampner adjustable. My Ride was very hard as I was running 17's. If Poss stick with 15's. Then you can lower and still be comfortable. If your in the UK Try www.TokyoExpress.co.uk the guy there was very helpful. The Suspension was £540 when I got it so might be still around that mark. Good Luck!
