Who wants to take a pick at this?LOL
I have a 1990 honda crx with a slow d16 engine in it. I WANT TO THROW IN A CORVETTE ENGINE!!!
Preferably the LS7 short block pushin over 500 horsies.
Now for the question???????
How much work would it take to throw this engine in my car.
I know that any engine can go into any car!!!
It just depends on how much extra work your willing to spen on it.
So if anyone knows anything about this please let me hear your comments oh and remember im most likely never going to try something this stupid but just think of how tight it would be to have a 2100 lb crx pushin over 500 horsies. DAMN.
Thanks for your time.

I'm not sure where, but I have seen pics of someone doing this very same thing...it will take a TON of fabrication. Civic is front wheel drive, Vette is Rear wheel Drive. This means fabricating your rear suspension to handle the HUGE torque that the V8 will put out. You will also have to factor in that the skinny civic tires won't last 2 minutes with that power, so you'll have to make room front and rear for something wider. This will likely mean modding the front suspension too...oh wait you'll have to do something to hold up the weight of that monster engine anyway, so .... ..
Then you'll have to make room for the driveshaft to run front to rear....
Its possible. You're right, any engine can fit in any car. I just hope you've got LOTSA money sitting around that you don't know what else to waste it on...cuz it won't be cheap! Post pics when you're done. I wish you all the best!

i talke dto a guy that had a crx with a 350 in it, and he said it was fun for a little while, but after a few months, it twisted the chassis so much that one rear wheel only touched the ground under acceleration. even if you where to get it all to fit and work, the chassis itself just cant take the strain. and besides, an LS7 runs about 15k, just for the long block, not to mention a good trans, rear end, etc etc. thats a 30k build, easily. even if you can do all of the fabrication yourself.
