Will it still be alright?

Will it still be alright?
Hey guys, I happen to be a new Honda owner here! I bought a brand new 4 door black Civic Si, and I have to say it's a wonderful car in every department. I do have a few questions though,
1. I don't really listen to my dealership. They told me that since new Hondas are so precisely manufactured, there is no break-in period, and you can go full throttle whenever you desire. Even the service guy told me that. I know this can't be true, but I've taken the car at full throttle twice while racing, but took it very easy after that. Is this going to ruin my car? PS: I ONLY HAVE 300 miles on it!!!
2. I've hit v-tec maybe 6 times, so is that bad too?
3. While trying to race a guy at arolling start I downshifted from 4th to 2nd pretty quick and it was kind of jerky, is my transmission still going to be alright?
Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

RE: Will it still be alright?
1) there's pretty much always a break-in period... I'd take it easy on the driving for a while
2) hitting vtec shouldn't be too harmful, all it is is a cam changeover to a more aggressive cam profile (the engine's taking in more air for longer periods pretty much)
3) If you didn't blip the throttle, that's the reason for the jerkiness. Anyway, it's not great for the clutch or the transmission, but I doubt you'll do any real harm if you just do it once.

RE: Will it still be alright?
Thank you for the quick response!
Okay, so if I take it easy until that 600 mile point I'll be alright? And just remember, I have full throttled twice in 1st and 2nd gear, so heh keep that in mind.[&:]

RE: Will it still be alright?
quit street racing and you and your car will be just fine.
anyway, yea there's a break in period. that honda guy either doesn't know what he's talking about or wants you to mess something up so you can take it to him to get fixed and he can make money off it.
