Yayay I did it :D
Well I finally did it. First mod on my new car (not done by me tho :P). So excited! Set of coilovers and new front struts. The difference is awsome. I love the adjustablility and the Tokico Illumina struts rock. There on 3 right now where seems kinda stuff but ill see after I play with them .

The coilovers where $200 for the set. Cheap. They are middle of the road but I will be replacing them in the spring (They will probably not suvive the winter well which is why i went cheap. This is my daily driver). I can't remember the name of the brand. There nothing special. They kind of look like dropzone coilovers. The Struts where $250 each (2 for the front only). The work was about $250 and some odds and ends ($80 for a bushing they cut off and $35 for lower tie bar) and taxes came out to about $1200. The struts are 5 point adjustable and on 3. The rides a little bumpy so im gonna go down to 2. I have it in a "beamer" stance which apparently people call it, higher in the back then the front. The cornering is amazing. SO much tighter then stock. I also love the adjustability of the coilovers.

P.S I got the box they are these: http://www.pilotautomotive.com/pilot5b.htm . Def not the best but they will get me through the winter AND they dont seem to be the worst.

pics tomorow I worked all day and now its dark again. I promis :P. Anyways the ride is a little bouncy. Not sure what it is but I need to play around with the struts settings. Im not sure some people said the struts/coils need a little break in but I don't know if I belive that. Anyway pics tomorow

Om finally pics. Looks way difference in person but the pics should show a little. Also the bouncy ride is due to the rear struts which I didn't get replaced. They are getting replace tomorow. .

What are those rims?
I think you paid a little too much for the coilovers. It's the coilovers that are causing your bumpier ride, they do have to settle in there...it's gonna take a few days, but after that itt's gonna get better.
And what happened to the DIY? Why would one pay taxes and labor? [sm=grinangel.gif]

Hey,
Thats 200 CAD tho. DIY not for this. I have never done anything to a car and don't really want to mess with spring compressors and stuff and the guy did them for a pretty good price. I dunno about the springs the rear shocks arn't nearly strong enough to handle the coils so whenever I go over a bump the coils shoot the shocks up and its one hell of a bump. Atleast I think thats whats happening. The front is perfect and I love the adjustable shocks. No idea on the rims they came with the car.
