Civic Runs too Rich
hey guys, over the summer i bought a 1998 honda civic. It has as acura integra b18 motor and a turbonetics turbo kit along with an msd ignition and other upgrades. The car ran for about two months but it was running extremely rich and I knew it would need to be tuned but it stopped running before i could tune it. When we towed it to the shop they were unable to tune it because the computer was too old. I replaced the computer with a newer hondata system that they were able to tune but even with the fuel injection turned all the way down it still ran too rich. I have 350cc injectors in the car and i feel that they are too big and that is the problem. Has any one encountered this before. HELP ME! PLEASE POST IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS!!!

RE: Civic Runs too Rich
well i think this belong in the ECU/Fuel Management section, but w/e. 350 cc injectors probably aren't too big; stock injectors are 240cc so with a turbo kit, 350 should be fine. What are you using to read the A/F ratio? Wideband or short band gauge? If its short band don't trust it, but if it's your tuner's wideband then you hvae some problems.....maybe bad injectors, bad resisotr box (if you're using one), or maybe the injectors are stuck open. Possibly bad FPR? Idk, just throwing up ideas.
