Just because some of the people don't own a civic doesn't mean that they aren't interested in them. I'm interested in mustangs but I would never own one. Two reasons, ford makes them (which is reason enough for me) and thats too much power to start out with. I would rather make a slow car fast than a fast car faster.

Because when they are learning about civics there also learning about cars in general which may help them with whatever modifications/projects they decide to do to there car. Also because of the ammount of info available for the civic, there so much information all over the internet, this would be one of the best place to find links to all kinds of sites about cars.

Or because we want to be. There are alot of people in this scene or just getting into this scene that in all honesty are stupid and I'd like to inform them of correct answers without making a certain car(namely a civic) seem ungodly or in anyway better than a true sports car. They are a fun introduction into cars and that is what alot use them for, I'd assume these people get started the correct way.

^lol, yes, and many of them aren't old enough to have a license, so they research a lot before they go off and purchase the car and fix it up the way they want. or it could be that they have no life. your pick.
